Dinosaur Intro courtesy of Natalia McCarty sampled from Cancer Song by the JSE from the
Melodius Acensxion Befvore the Fall to Dead album due out Next Year
Jay plays his Yamaha "Fish" Guitar on 1 and then shit all over it in Garageband '08.
Track 1 contains a sample from "1,000,000" by nine inch nails from the Slip
Live Drum loop played by Jay Sharp on 2
Found Manipulated tape was sampled with Sound Studio 2.0 on 2,3,5, 6, 8, 9 & 10.
A Loop from Billy Corgan's song "A100" was stolen on 3 from the Future Embrace album.
A Fender Mexi-Castor was used on 3… as were 4 tambourine overdubs with equalization
Source for Track 4 is a 160 kbps MP3 which hasn't been altered since 2004.
4 also contains a sample from a Scissor Sisters Demo. I hope Baby Daddy don't come after me.
5 contains a Poem by Neil Montiel of the same title.
5, 6, and 7 are played with a light up Casio Keyboard my dad got me for Christmas
(which is his birthday so think about how weird that is to be giving gifts on your birthday)
A Fender Jazz bass copy was stolen and used on 6.
7 contains a sample from "God Given" by nine inch nails from Year Zero
A Gretsch Duo Jet was used on 8 and the Line6 Ax212 was used to make the guitar sound like water. The same process was used on 10 except my Washburn "Spiderman" Guitar was Played.
I slowed down the speed of a stopwatch for the 2nd half of 8.
All vocals on this record were sung into the built-in Microphone on my eMac and IMac
except on 8 where I sang into a cheap Samsung Mic from Radioshack through a Zoom guitar
effects pedal and did over-voices with an AKG condenser microphone plugged into my Yamaha MG16/4 mixer.
Track 9 Was recorded live in 2 takes in the middle of the night.
Take 1 was recorded with SoundStudio 2.0 with my eMac's built-in Mic
Rhythm guitar was played with my 1982 Synsonics axe w/a built-in speaker
Lead guitar overdubbed with my Rickenbacker 330 and a Line6 Pod 2.0 into Garageband '08
All answer-phone tapes were purchased and
salvaged by Jay Sharp in a Columbus Day Tag Sale in South Hadley, MA
Quartz by Neil Montiel
