about

So in the winter of 2009, I was up in South Hadley, MA with Seth Elalouf in what was arguably the most musically productive period of my life. I made up a few of these home-made compilations of songs (cdrs and inkjet printed sleeves, trips to the USPS for postage) I had recorded between 1999 and 2009. I had very little money and I know sad music comforts me from time to time, so I mailed these out to my friends.

the Borrowed Blue series was born. Each record containing 12 tracks and at least one cover. "Borrowed Blue" series is a play on the term "the winter blues". They are mostly live acoustic songs. Little one offs- or works in progress.

Moving forward, I continue to release these yearly, as a tribute to that time, and to help myself get through the long Northeastern winters. Despite being broke and feeling stranded and far from my friends in 2009, multiple people had commented it was the happiest they'd ever seen (As evidenced by my youtube videos and isight photobooth photographs.) me.

Borrowed Blue: Always free. Always for xmas. Enjoy.
