Jay Sharp Esquire - "Young Neil" (Home Demo for Somewhere People)

from That's 'B-Sides' the Point by Poindexter + Pals

/

about

Came to me in a dream. I woke up at 5 am and started recording it. The lyrics melody and even the chord changes were like a gift from somewhere.

it made nat cry when she first heard it. The basics for the album cut were recorded in 2004. So this version had to be 2003 or even 2002. On the LP version, Nat sang her vocals through a nylon stocking/wire hanger pop filter. Good broke times.

lyrics

And Somewhere People don't care at all.
Somewhere, Sometimes People sometimes call.
Somewhere People live their lives... they'll tell you so.
Somewhere People never even know.
