Lonesome Roads

from "Borrowed Blue" by J "Jay" Joseph Sharp

about

Recorded with my Pentium 4, in 1998

lyrics

you counted the days
when slavery was tame
and set them off into the sun
and your remains
and a poor man are the same
: superstitious little rats
I belong to the sun,
I'll be lonesome when I'm gone
Everything I do is wrong
because i belong to the sun

I grew up and listened to Warhol
I grew up watching Lou
I never knew who I was
until the day that I met you
everything is broken
everything has gone to hell
I shot mother off in a cannon ball
over the cliff that I swore I would

I know nothing is sacred
I know nothing is sound
You'll be lonely when you realize
you lost your mind when you were found
some people said that my heart
isn't resting until the day I died
the suicide note always made me laugh
the wedding always made me cry

my numbers' 911 but my emergence isn't new
I'll be you'd think you's knew it all along
I'll take you there and I'll blow your minds
with your laundry rooms and old bloated Gods
the ones who always shook you off in the cold
into the sun
to the sun
whoa
oh

I'll be lonesome when I'm gone
I'll be lonesome when I'm gone
I'll be lonesome when I'm gone
Oh you'll be lonesome when I'm gone
