* = this was actually the first time I presented the song (recently written, at the time, and here, above, acoustic) to Patric at Flood one night AFTER rehearsal. So it's just HE and I on rhythm guitar and Drums. Luckily captured it on Natalia's SONY handycam because I swear , He never nailed it even CLOSE to this, again. This take, whoa. It's like, HOLY to me, like it's J.C. on the Everlasting Gaze outro or something.

Anyways, because of this (and trust me, we tried. Even booked two sesssions at the other Flood [Brokenland Studio for recording the drums, sessions that Begat "Emotistical, Rock Cliche, Lakehouse and Another Ice Age"] but could never quite "get" it like this.

A few beers and a (regretful? you tell ME) executive decision later- WE, not the Royal we, but rather both Pat and I, decided to just export the audio from the SONY (Which I'm not even sure if it's in Stereo or not) and add Lead guitar, keyboard, vocals, backup effects, bass, tambourine, effects and handclaps- you know, the usual... RIGHT OVER the live take. )

This is that live take before overdubbing a thing, which is really a miraculos testiment to both patrics skill and talent and our innate ability after years of playing to pusychicly rtead each other in the moment as I SWEAR HE HAD NEVER HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE>

As I started playing it solo, I wasnt planning on an intro, I wasn't even sure if he'd jump in. I was JUST going to go through the chords and hopefully with a great drummer they can get it second take.
Nope. He got it right the first take. Absolutely amazing.
