Joe Haines + Jay Sharp - Borrowed Blue

from Borrowed Blue IV by J "Jay" Joseph Sharp

/

about

I have been working on the second Second Hand Coke album since 2009 and Joe Haines recorded some tracks for me to play with- (I assume without listening to the first record prior). Still, a lovely tune.

lyrics

please allow me to sing
for you and i
just one time
and every single thing
you've ever tried
in your life
nearly died in your arms

you know you can only run so far
but it'll never be the way
and i'm trying to save what little's left of you

all the time you waste
trying ta run away
all the people you chased
little stars
capsized in your life-
i just can't say 'no'

maybe someone is certain now
maybe someone has to leave
maybe you'll never try to place
all your fears far away from me
