"Return to Spiderland" is the culmination of all 'official' "studio" releases by AbTa recorded between it's inception in 2005 (then J &/ R's Music World) - up until their last 'official' show, going on before Kendrick Lamar @ Southpaw, Park Slope" and Split in 2013.

It WAS amicable, as the JSE, also featuring Jay Sharp, was on the bill as well, rather than the unravelment or dissolution of I.P. absorption was part of the plan and deed as 'the JSE' (who had been steadily playing shows, sometimes alongside AbTa,) and releasing EPs and LPs (at least 1 per year, even finding overlap in the bands' players for ½ a decade) As the JSE claimed they could tackle and take-on (play) anything, the entire AbTa repertoire was absorbed thus assisting in the JSE 'becoming "Mighty" in 2012.

This release Includes all the tracks originally used as demos, for CD-r's "mailers", label interest, gigs & press kits & also contains the 2 EP's released: our 2006 self-titled + 2007s' "An Affair To Remember."

All songs written by J𐤃¥ ♯ ℇ§Q AND Produced by Jay J Joseph Sharp as well (except where otherwise noted)

'Summer / Winter' recorded at "J&R's Music world" (my landlord's apartment) Upstairs from my apartment (on 17th street) with additional production oversaw by the 2nd floor (my bedroom).

The Drummer on Tracks 3 + 10 is Pro Tools, Ricardo Pantoja laid down a live take in Seth's Garage (Which was then used as a guide to trigger perfectly quantized drum samples laid [overdubbed/ "paste mixed"] atop his performance.) I'm not sure if that's how "the Pros" do it, but that's what we did.
