about

Before Kevin Nolan's departure- the Stereolites were actually called "the dropouts" And this demo is what was loosely known as the "this is us" [EP]. Which we thought was cleverly titled to sound like a Brooklynite exclaiming to their partner that their subway arrived at their station and it was time for them to exit the train. In retrospect, it just made us sound like complete morons, ESPECIALLY since we were calling ourselves the Dropouts at the time.

Dashan had just graduated from IAR and he brought over his digital 12 track and recorded us in Kevin Nolan's "band room" and living room on 77th street in Bensonhurst.
